EmpꓥVolve is a community-driven catalyst for change, dedicated to empowering and evolving fluorosis-affected communities (FACs) through public health advocacy, water safety initiatives, and socio-economic resilience building. As a grassroots non-profit organization, we champion zero fluorosis by equipping affected individuals with knowledge, skills, preventive solutions, and self-empowerment tools to reclaim their health and dignity. Functioning as a nexus platform, EmpꓥVolve unites diverse stakeholders—including government agencies, healthcare professionals, researchers, environmental advocates, and community leaders—to drive interdisciplinary collaboration in fluorosis mitigation. Our work aligns with the One Health approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health in tackling fluoride contamination and its broader ecological implications. Our mission is to advocate for sustainable public health infrastructure solutions, ensuring universal access to safe, fluoride-free water while reinforcing Kenya’s efforts toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC). We prioritize vulnerable populations across Nakuru County and other fluorosis-affected regions, addressing the unique challenges faced by children, expectant mothers, individuals with chronic conditions, and economically disadvantaged communities. EmpꓥVolve’s long-term vision is to train, build capacity, and mobilize funding for bold WASH and public health infrastructure investments across Kenya. Over the next 5–10 years, we are committed to developing fluoride-safe borehole projects with integrated water treatment systems, alongside broader environmental conservation, waste management, and healthcare initiatives to foster resilient, healthy communities.
